Meet Our Practitioners
Kate Barry, L.Ac
Acupuncturist, Herbalist
Kate earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Washington University then set off to fulfill her dream of traveling the world. She became fascinated with health care throughout different cultures and, astounded by the effectiveness and power of Chinese medicine, she discovered her life path. Kate earned her master’s degree in Oriental Medicine from Five Branches University in Santa Cruz, CA in 2007. She is a Licensed Acupuncturist in the state of Colorado and is nationally board certified as a Diplomate of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine by the National Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Kate’s specialties include pain, women’s health conditions (including PMS, hormonal imbalance and menopausal symptoms), digestive disorders and mental-emotional imbalances. While Kate cherishes her years of travelling and is deeply grateful for her many amazing teachers in California, she is thrilled to be laying down roots in northwest Denver. She feels incredibly blessed for her patients, from whom she learns so much from every day, and for the opportunity to serve her community by promoting health and balance. In her free time, Kate loves spending time in the mountains, biking, gardening, and practicing yoga. She is also always eager for adventures with her husband and two kids.
Adrienne Kam, L.Ac
Acupuncturist, Herbalist
Like so many folks in Denver, Adrienne is not a Colorado native, but she is happy to call this sunny state and its awe-inspiring mountains home. Her love of learning, travel, and tai chi are rivaled only by her love for her wonderful family. Adrienne earned her Master’s of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at the Academy of Oriental Medicine in Austin, Texas. She is a licensed acupuncturist in Colorado and a nationally board certified Diplomate of Oriental Medicine. Since 2010, DCA has been like a second home to Adrienne, and the other practitioners and patients, a second family. She has seen so many patients change, heal, and grow over time and she gets as much pleasure from seeing old familiar faces as she does meeting new ones. As an acupuncturist and herbalist, she is grateful for the opportunity to share this powerful medicine with the DCA community. Adrienne has a special interest in treating stress and anxiety, structural imbalances, immune deficiencies, digestive disorders, and women’s health conditions related to pregnancy support and hormonal imbalances.
Jennie Lockhart, L.Ac
Acupuncturist
After graduating from CSU in 2005 Jennie spent the next seven years farming in Fort Collins and the western slope. Specializing in diverse market gardening she saw parallels between biodynamic farming and traditional Chinese medicine. The idea that there are signs of imbalance before disease sets in was thought provoking. Creating connections with weekly customers at the farmers’ market, encouraging cooking of seasonal farm fare sowed into Jennie a lifelong passion for preventative medicine. Jennie helped create a now flourishing non profit in Fort Collins which brings public food gardens to the people along with education in food security for all community members (the growing project). Wanting to continue helping on a deeper level, she enrolled at CSTCM in 2012. As a practitioner she specializes in musculoskeletal disorders, sleep issues and nutritional recommendations.
Alana Foeller, L.Ac
Acupuncturist
Alana graduated from MSU Denver with a Bachelors of Science in Human Performance and Sport & Nutrition. This became her foundation for teaching clients how to take their health into their own hands using exercise and nutrition. Alana’s career in fitness led her to Yoga, where she learned about Yoga’s sister science Ayurveda. It had always been her dream to become an integrated medicine practitioner, so Alana went on to study nursing and she earned her BSN at CU College of Nursing and has been working as a Registered Nurse since 2015. Alana graduated from Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2021 with a Master’s in Acupuncture and founded 3 Pillars Holistic Health where she blends nutrition, Yoga Therapy & Ayurveda, Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine into an integrative system to promote health and wellness to clients of all ages. Alana specializes in pain, musculoskeletal injuries, headaches, insomnia, digestive issues and women’s health. When she’s not learning or working, Alana enjoy spending time outdoors hiking, mountain biking and snowboarding, cooking, listening to music and dancing.
Jennifer Leonard, LAc
Acupuncturist, Herbalist
Jennifer received a master’s in TCM from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, California, which included an internship in Chengdu, China. She has been practicing acupuncture and TCM for 17 years in a variety of environments including community settings, hospital based programs and private practice. She works to help her clients become more aware of their own unique healthcare needs, developing their own wellness toolbox and advocating for their self care.
Jennifer also has a master’s degree in Mind Body medicine from Saybrook University and has received a certificate in Psychedelic Assisted Therapy from Naropa University. These two extended studies inform her work with her current clients, giving her an integrated approach to wellness.
In her one-on-one work, Jennifer offers a range of services, including:
- Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine — including dry needling, cupping, moxibustion, and KT taping for complex or chronic issues.
- Health & Wellness Navigation — an in-depth, collaborative assessment that reviews your full health history, labs, medications, supplements, and lifestyle factors. Together, she helps clients design a plan that integrates diet, herbal medicine, and mind-body practices to create lasting progress between sessions.
- Injection Therapy — natural biological injections to support the body’s healing process, applied at specific acupuncture points.
- Facilitated Psilocybin Work — fully licensed journey work, including preparation, integration, and holistic support. These sessions are held through Happy Rebel Healing in Boulder.
Her sessions are designed to complement DCA’s community acupuncture offerings, giving clients the flexibility to move between community and private treatments as needed — depending on where they are in their health journey.
Megan Blalock
Massage Therapist
Megan has been a massage therapist for 24 years. She loves the clinical application of massage to bring about ease in the body and specializes in deep tissue and neuromuscular techniques.
The world is a stressful place right now, full of uncertainty. A place where massage seems like a luxury, not a necessity. For Megan, massage is a necessity that helps her regulate and navigate through life. Before coming to DCA, I offered a sliding scale fee for many years. She believe’s now is an excellent time to get back to her roots, and make massage more affordable.
Starting in Sept 2025 and or the foreseeable future, massage prices will range between $65.00-85.00 per 60 minute sessions and $105.00-125.00 for a 90 minute session. Her hope is that by doing this, it makes it easier for you to make massage part of your self care in these trying times.
Because of her early life experiences and the body work she has received over the years, she is aware of how important massage is for helping herself and others heal from a traumatic childhood. For 17 years, she was the massage therapist at a treatment facility for children and helped over 400 children with trauma experiences become better friends with their bodies, and learn to define their boundaries, sometimes for the first time. She also is a Reiki master and combines that with a gentle technique called positional release.
In addition to providing deep tissue massage for adults at DCA, she will offer half-hour sessions for children to support relaxation and a better relationship with their own bodies, using a variety of modalities that include singing bowls, tuning forks, and essential oils.
She is a native of Denver, Colorado and loves art having spent years learning silversmithing, stone cutting, pottery, and writing poetry. In 2012 she wrote a book about trauma and recovery called Trauma and Abuse Decoded: A Poor Person’s Guide to a World Class Healing.

Andreah Morrissey
Massage Therapist
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to natural healing and helping others. Though my life and career paths have taken many turns, my most satisfying work has centered around connection, compassion, and helping others.
I officially answered the calling to bodywork in 2011 when I returned to my native Colorado, from the Pacific Northwest, to attend the renowned Boulder College of Massage Therapy. My education there provided a rigorous foundation in anatomy and a wide range of massage modalities—including Shiatsu, Myofascial Release, Vibrational Medicine, Prenatal and Postpartum, Swedish, Orthopedic, and Sports Massage. I’ve been in private practice in Boulder since 2013 and I continue to be inspired by the transformative power of touch and the resilience of the human body.
Over the years, I’ve continued to deepen my skills and integrate new techniques into my sessions. No two bodies are the same, and I approach each client with a fresh mind and an open heart. My goal is always for every person I work with to feel heard, seen, cared for, and more comfortable in their own body by the end of a session.
One of the things I enjoy about this work is collaborating with other wellness professionals. Together with other providers such as therapists, chiropractors, acupuncturists, and physical therapists, I strive to offer truly comprehensive and connected care. I look forward to working with this new community!
